Moisturisers
Do your moisturisers contain sunscreen?
Do I need to use a sunscreen when using Themeda moisturisers?
Our day moisturisers do offer mild natural ultraviolet protection, but you will need to apply sunscreen if you go outdoors or are prone to hyperpigmentation.
Can I mix and match my moisturisers in the Themeda range?
Yes, you can. You may find it beneficial to use a day moisturiser from one range, and night moisturiser from another.
For example, you could use Fresh Day because your skin feels oily during the day, but prefer a more nourishing moisturiser at night, and choose Balance Night.
The moisturisers you choose will depend on your skin type, if you wear make-up and the environment you live and work in.
Should I use my moisturisers every day?
Yes, our moisturisers are formulated to be used daily.
The day moisturisers protect your skin from damage and ageing caused by exposure to free radicals from the environment.
They are also formulated to keep the skin soft, smooth, and healthy and care for the specific needs of your skin type.
The night moisturisers are created to keep your skin healthy and smooth. They contain specific ingredients to help regenerate and repair the skin at night and slow down skin ageing.
Like their daytime counterparts, the night moisturisers care for specific concerns of your skin type.

Once I have applied my day moisturiser, how long should I wait before applying make-up?
We recommend you wait three to five minutes and then apply your make-up.
HA Serum
Which skin types can use HA Serum?
Besides providing intense moisture for the skin, HA Serum contains the soothing and anti-inflammatory ingredients of rooibos and chamomile. These work to calm the skin, relieve inflammation and redness, and help heal pustules.
How often can I use HA Serum?

Once I have applied HA Serum, how long should I wait before applying my night moisturiser?
Rejuvenating Oil
Can oily skin types and acne prone skins benefit from Rejuvenating Oil?
Yes, they can.
Rejuvenating Oil is easily absorbed by oily skins, and it will help to regulate the sebaceous (oily) secretions of your skin.
If your skin is oily, we recommend you use it at night.
Rejuvenating Oil helps to repair and heal acne prone skin. It calms and heals inflamed pustules more quickly and heals scarring caused by breakouts.
If you have an oily, acne prone skin, it helps to regulate the oily secretions of your skin and control the formation of blackheads.
How often can I use Rejuvenating Oil?
- Dry and sensitive skins can use it daily while the skin needs extra care.
- Combination skins that are prone to dehydration and dryness can use Rejuvenating Oil daily.
- Oily skin types can use it two to three times a week. You can use it daily while you are treating a specific problem, such as healing breakouts or scarring.
Can I apply HA Serum, Rejuvenating Oil, and night moisturiser to my skin?
About our products
I’ve recently started using Themeda, and I have a few breakouts on my skin. Should I be concerned?
Your skin may be going through a detox as it adapts from your old products and purges synthetic ingredients from the skin.

How do I know if I am having an allergic reaction to a product?
You will usually experience redness, inflammation, excessive flaking, or peeling. Stop using your products immediately and get professional advice.
Environmental Impact
Are your products vegan friendly?
Our products do not have vegan friendly certification yet, but when we develop and formulate our products, we ensure all our ingredients are vegan friendly.
We are in the process of obtaining our vegan friendly certifications. We will announce when we receive them and add the badges and stamps to our website and packaging.
Are your products cruelty free?
Although our products do not have the Beauty Without Cruelty and Leaping Bunny certifications yet, we ensure all our products and ingredients are cruelty free.

How do you test your products?
Are your products certified natural and organic?
Our products do not have ECOCERT/ COSMOS certifications yet. However, we have ensured all our ingredients and formulations comply with their approved list of ingredients.
Themeda products are natural and organic, and it is our goal to get our products certified as natural and organic. We will announce when we receive this certification and add the badges and stamps to our website and packaging.
